Hello,
I’ve recently started dabbling with WordPress for hosting my podcasting website. So far, the podcasting component is working great, but now I’m looking to work on the actual site a bit. For starts, I have absolutely zero clue how WordPress works.
So, there are pages right? Pages contain content, makes sense. Well, I do not have any pages. But when you visit my site, you can see the header, my podcast player, a few photos and a footer. I believe I have been editing the theme directly (my theme being Twenty Twenty-Two) and it’s just reflected. But, am I correct in assuming that there should be pages for each page I would like to have on the site? Like an index, about, recent episodes, etc?
While I’m at it, I’m hosting the server at a location that has a fairly weak internet connection, so I am worried about high traffic hitting the server when a new episode is released. Does anyone have any recommendations or tips when it comes to CDNS? Thanks.
I’m new to this side of the whole webhosting thing, I’ve hosted wordpress sites for years, but I have never did any of the design, strictly running the servers. If anyone has any good resources that can help my understand the WordPress side of things, I would appreciate that. Thanks.
