So, not so long ago I asked about WordPress here. And since then I kept digging the internet for various information, but I still have some unanswered questions, which even Reddit couldn’t answer (I don’t tend to trust outdated threads, especially when there is a small number of them).
I already know the difference between WordPress COM and WordPress ORG. Of course, I’m going for the ORG version, as I’m perfectionist myself and I would love to polish my works as much as possible with all the little things making the page as modern as possible.
As I read, it works like this – you find a host which supports WordPress, you register and install WordPress on that host.
! DISCLAIMER – I’m not making any discussion about the hosts, I’m just asking specific questions about how they work, and ask for some recommendations, that’s it!
So the first two questions starts here. How should I pick the host? Which one should I pick? I already know to stay away from GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostinger, HostWinds and other “EIG” related hosts. I’ve read some good things about the SiteGround though and I know couple good hosts myself, but saddly, they tend to crash atleast once a week and are pretty slow, even if they have great support, I don’t want these kinds of problems. Share your thoughts with me, please. I’m looking for a bit less pricey version, for smaller websites.
To specify – let’s say I want to create websites for my clients. It is preferable that the client could add me to their project as an administrator/developer. And after I’m done with creating the page, they just buy a domain and start hosting it through the hosting platform on which the page was created.
Second option would be that I create the page on my account and somehow (I have no idea how) give the page to them so they can start hosting it (on the same hosting platform, of course).
So here comes some more questions:
1. The option that I prefer more, is it possible? I mean it should be. But how does it work? Does my client needs to buy a plan and a domain first? Do they need to buy the same plan as me for the page to work properly on their end, and vice versa?
2. Is it a MUST to first buy a plan, only then to start creating demo pages? I’ve read something about hosting WordPress page on ‘localhost’. If that’s possible, how would I be able to migrate the page to my client’s workspace?
3. And finally, is WordPress ORG really completely free (When you get a host and install WordPress on it)? I watched some tutorials to get something out of it and I’m confused by some “PREMIUM” labels on plugins and themes. And about the plugins, are they free or there’s an additional monthly cost for some of them?

Please, try to make the answers as simple as they can be, I don’t care how long they are or how many examples there is, the more the better! I might be a quick learner, but I like to know everything as clear as possible.
! EDIT:
One more thing I forgot to include. I’ve read, that host does not add much prottection to the website and I need to add the prottection by myself. Is this true? If so, any good plugins recommendations?
