A few remarks about Version 1.3.0

[ad_1]

Hello @guenni,

Thank you for your feedback!

1. The design is certainly not mandatory. But in previous versions of the plugin, we didn’t actually have just a “blue version”. We had an adjustable color scheme that adjusted based on the color of your selected color scheme in WordPress admin.

The flipside of this was that it added quite a bit of complexity, for example it meant we had to programmatically calculate various shades of the same color.

In version 1.3 we optimized performance of the analytics dashboard (it’s 95% lighter and over 65% faster to a meaningful render) so this feature was replaced with a simpler static color scheme. We’re however keen on diving into this again to either make it adjustable or provide a few sensible defaults to choose from.

2. I hear you. I really struggled with this, as some of our users have been asking us for more info on the dashboard. We’re trying to strike a nice balance between showing just enough yet not replicating the entire dashboard. We’ll gather some more feedback on what our users think and then either change the default, make it adjustable or at least make certain things hideable.

Danny
