A question for those that use Astra pro with Elementor pro – what do you like?

[ad_1]

A follow up question. I’m new to Astra. Thought I’d try it out. I thought it was a potential replacement for using a theme + elementor pro, but seems like it still needs an external page builder, I was under the impression it’s site builder was internal but I prefer elementor.

For those running Astra Pro + Elementor pro what do you like about Astra that say, Hello theme doesn’t do? Surely hello/elementor has to be lighter(/smaller) than the above bundle? I’m underwhelmed by Astra currently but perhaps there’s great features I’m overlooking.

Thank you

Edited for clarity.

  1. Astra is a theme. Elementor is a page builder. Astra relies on Elementor to work – it can’t replace it.

Astra now supports Spectra (a block editor page builder). Astra and Hello are very similar themes.

  2. I used to use Astra Pro with Elementor Pro. I hated it.
I use Hello with Elementor Pro now, and it’s way less bloat.

I was using Astra Pro + Elementor Pro when I was just learning, and I remember being confused by all the Customizer settings because Elementor’s “Site Settings” had a lot of overlap.

While Astra’s settings (like colour, font, etc) are supposed to be inherited by Elementor, so you see them as an option when you go to pick a colour, it is so ridiculously unnecessary.

I don’t need a bloated theme with functionality that I will never use (Customizer) and I don’t need all the elaborate templates, etc. that Astra comes with, because I can just use Elementor Pro’s Theme Builder to build all of them.

Also, if you want to use Spectra like another user suggested, use the Spectra One theme, don’t use Astra. Last I checked, the “support” of the block editor was a bit messy, but that was over a year ago, so might be outdated info.

  3. I use the Astra, Elementor combination because how fast and easy you can set up a good looking header/sticky header that works very well for both the desktop browser and phone browser with little to no effort.

What makes you like it up until now?
