I accidentally trashed my homepage but I was able to recover it, republish then added meta titles and description again but when I try to create interlinking pages via “/”, it redirects me to the old one saying “archives”. How do I fix that and maybe is there anything else that may have been change since it was just a template.

if you deleted the homepage then the setting that you choose the homepage may not be set properly.
check Settings from the sidebar in the admin panel and click Reading to see what your Homepage is set to
