I generated an XML sitemap a while ago and submitted it to Google Search Console (GSC). The XML sitemap initially contained 2 sitemaps: ‘page sitemap’ and ‘product sitemap’. And everything was working as it should. However, I recently added another sitemap to the XML sitemap called ‘product category sitemap.’ So now, the XML sitemap contains three sitemaps (I see 3 sitemaps when I click on the XML sitemap link). But, when I check the sitemap in Google Search Console, it still shows two sitemaps only, ‘page sitemap’ and ‘product sitemap’.
Why is the newest sitemap not appearing in GSC? Will the ‘product category sitemap’ be automatically detected by GSC and added? If yes, how long will it take for GSC to detect the newest sitemap and add it? If no, how do I manually add the newest sitemap, ‘product category sitemap’ to the existing sitemap on GSC?
