Hey all,
I’m creating author pages for my client’s WordPress website and was wondering how I can have extra fields for my authors, such as job titles and education, and then display them on the profile to build authorship credibility. I’ve tried to look for solutions, including plugins, but none have really stuck out as the best or most straightforward way to me. I know this is possible, however, since many finance sites using WP have managed it.
My client preferably wouldn’t want to do extensive edits to the database or certain files (like functions.php), but I understand at least some of that comes with the territory.
Does anybody have any ideas on how to do this, or maybe has done it before? I’m building the author page by editing my child theme’s “author.php” file.
