Admin Menu, Is it possible to organize submenus that go more than a single layer deep?

I’m using ‘Admin Menu Editor’ to organize my Admin Menu in WordPress.

It seems I can only nest submenus one layer deep. Is this a WordPress limitation or a possible ‘Admin Menu Editor’ plugin limitation?

I’m looking for ways of organizing and cleaning my Admin Menu (without deleting plugins because each plugin is serving a functional purpose).

Can you recommend any ideas?

  1. Not 100% positive but I’d say it would fall more on the WordPress limitation than the plugin. I don’t recall (maybe I’m wrong) seeing anything deeper than 1 level in WordPress before in all of my years and all of the plugins I’ve used, hence why I think it’s all WordPress accounts for.

I’m sure you could definitely do it with custom CSS and programming, but to be quite honest, this isn’t something that I’ve really ever felt the need for. What exactly is your issue? Do you just have like 300 plugins installed adding items into the WordPress menu and you’re trying to group them or something under something else? If so, easy answer, delete the plugins.
