That would be nice, but…. If you want it done sooner rather than later, use PHPMYADMIN from your hosting control panel to open the database table “wp_options” and edit the email address in the row with the key “admin_email”, or use <site>/wp-admin/options.php
I’m pretty sure there’s a trac ticket on this (core.trac.projectdmc.org) but the search is not finding it for me.

So I am so new to this I have no idea this PHPMYADMIN and where the hosting control panel is. I keep seeing that as the solution but all the links on where to go and what to do is overwhelming and confusing. I guess I was just trying to report this in the “fixing wordpress” section cause it would be nice to have the function do what it should do. Thanks I will just have to check for everything manually until I can figure out these steps everyone keeps saying.
Use the “/options.php” trick and you won’t have to figure out your hosting. Your site (if it’s the one in your forum profile) is hosted on the Amazon cloud, but that doesn’t really say who the host is.

OMG. I was able to do that. Thank you so much. 1 down of 736253 things about this site to learn.
