Hello everyone, my name is Harris and I recently started a web development agency based in Sydney, Australia (we offer a number of other services too).
It’s been pretty decent, I have been getting clients here and there but I’d love some input from the seasoned veterans on how to grow the business.
A major hurdle I’m currently encountering is that most of my clients have a low budget and therefore I haven’t been able to produce the type of results for them that would polish my resume (I try to overdeliver just for customer satisfaction but I can’t build complex sites for A$800-1500, which is the median budget for most of my clients).
Secondly, I haven’t been able to get clients consistently. I have a lot of experience with digital marketing but with the time/budget constraints I have at the moment, it seems unfeasible to a decent fb lead-ad campaign or google ads.
Could fellow web developers/designers share their insight on how they grew their business and what strategies worked for them? I’d really love to know how they reached that turning point where the client acquisition became consistent and the business started to grow naturally. I’ve got experience running businesses in the past where I’ve had to experiment for a few years to get it going but this time around, I thought why not ask those who have already done what I’m trying to do and get there quicker 😅
Thank you so much in advance for your advice.
Cheers
Harris
