Advice for my own website

[ad_1]

So I've been working as a freelance web designer for the last year or so. As time goes on the websites I'm building for my clients are ever improving and starting to look on a par with other really nice websites I'm seeing in the same fields.

For some reason I cannot seem to build myself a good website. Can't seem to think of good content for myself and the layout looks shit to be honest. I just dont feel the motivation i do when building for a clie

Very frustrating as I want to get myself out there more and my own website is my portfolio of what I can do! I think the content creation is probably my issue as I generally receive the written side from my clients and I do a good job of making it look pretty. Anyone else struggled in this department or have any good tips?

  1. Made a lot for others that I really like, but no matter how many times I redesign my own, I’m never really happy with it…

  2. Find website you like

    Borrow ideas from that site

Use AI to write content or hire content writer

  3. Make it simple. You don’t need to implement things like all kinds of animations and cursor hijackers. Search places like Pinterest for website layout designs. There’s tons of them there.

  4. I have built more than 100 websites to clients, still I don’t have my own website 🙂

  5. set goals how you would like your website to look like then search for websites for web design inspiration

  6. Same bro. Same. I run an I.T ( Now Digital ) Agrncy since 2008, and since 2008 my website is still under maintenance 🤣 I had it on for 2 years, then did not like the layout anymore, I made a backup and deleted everything. Now still under maintenance 🤣
