Hello everyone, I need your guidance and advice for our new startup. I’m the server admin, and we’re planning to have multiple sites in different languages. Our approach is to use the main domain (domain.com) for English and have other language versions like German (domain.com/de) and Arabic (domain.com/ar) as subdirectories. This is for SEO purposes. These versions will have the same content, just in different languages, similar to kinsta.com.
Here’s my question: should I install WordPress from scratch in each subdirectory, or should I use the multisite feature? I’m unsure about the differences and which option is best. From what I understand, with multisite, all sites share the same theme and plugins, so I can’t have unique plugins for each site. Also, user access is shared across all sites, making it hard to separate teams.
What would you recommend in my case? Your advice would be greatly appreciated!
