Advice on SEO or switching from wordpress.com to wordpress.org

[ad_1]

I have my wedding photography site on [wordpress.com]) and i’m thinking about switching it to wordpress.org. I was on adobe portfolio for a few years and that served my purpose at that time, but I transferred to wordpress for more options and better SEO. While I like it, I feel like I am not hitting all my SEO goals. I am on the premium plan currently. I tried the business plan for a short time for plugins but it almost seemed like too overwhelming with how many plugins there were out there. Photography is a very saturated market and to just reach any visibility is pretty hard in the ocean of photographers in my area. I use social media and google my business as well to get some traction. At this time, I am trying to decide if I need to give plugins another chance or just switch to [wordpress.org]). I am pretty tech savvy so I am not worried about the issues I will have as I know I will figure them out after trial and error. Just worried that I will hate the upkeep and want to switch back.

Would you suggest switching to [wordpress.org]) or keep it on [wordpress.com](https://wordpress.com)? Any advice on SEO with [wordpress.com]) that I may not have tried already? I feel like I am hitting a wall and kind of going crazy over my analytics.
