Advise for a frontend developer considering switching to freelance with WordPress

[ad_1]

Hi guys,

I’m currently a frontend developer who’s been in industry for a couple of years. I worked in corporates and start-ups, mostly creating components, layouts, fixing bugs, implementing some features (first React, now Vue).

But I’m starting to feel burn-out, and I’m missing creative part actually. I really love CSS&HTML, design… and Im currently feeling like a robot fixing silly bugs, and always changing the same things… and I’m also not super into complicated algorithms and heavy technical stuff…

So I was making some research, and came across people making webs with WordPress and making living out of it, many of them even without developer’s background… I was thinking that maybe creating webs for small business with WordPress could be my thing. I’m keen on web design, have an eye for good visuals, and my frontend skills can be an asset.

So, I guess I’d just like to know your opinion… if you think this path sounds logical? Or I’m being naive and missing some important aspects? I’d be happy to hear from someone who maybe went the same path… thank you ^-^
