Hello, I updated an old wewbsite from Debian 10 to 12, and WordPress to latest version 6.6 with PHP 8.3.
Website shows ok, but wp-admin login produce error and won’t show dashboard.
WPML plugin 3.4 seems to be the culprit, since if I deactivate it, everything works normally (but of course I lose the translations on website.)
Since I can’t contact the wpml support without paying again, which is not really possible, I wondered if some experts here could have an idea on how to troubleshoot and fix it…

Umm, yeah, don’t use ancient versions of software. WPML is at 4.6.12. Of course things are going to break if you’re using decade-old plugins. You’re asking to get hacked.
Change your PHP version. to 8.1
We are running on WPML latest and WP latest
Works fine with PHP 8.1
WPML have released an update that specifically addresses WordPress 6.6 compatibility, you can find out more here [https://wpml.org/changelog/2024/07/wpml-4-6-12-full-compatibility-with-wordpress-6-6-and-php-8-3/](https://wpml.org/changelog/2024/07/wpml-4-6-12-full-compatibility-with-wordpress-6-6-and-php-8-3/)
You’re kind of in two camps.
Either update your WPML plugin or don’t update anything else.
You are kind of forced here to update the WPML plugin
