The Lighthouse developer tool in Chrome browsers reported a performance score of 78 when I checked. Not great, not awful.
Just from my own observation, the hero YouTube video at the top of the home page is rather slow to get going. So slow that I thought your page was broken for a moment. Not the ideal user experience. From a performance perspective, videos that auto-play above the fold are far from ideal. If you feel such a video is truly necessary, consider hosting your own .mp4 video instead of using a YouTube embed. Ideally your self hosted video would be highly optimized for performance.
You might also consider displaying a static image at first, then have JavaScript swap in the video after the page has loaded. This way at least something is visible while data is still being transferred.
Which plugin are you talking about exactly?
