Hi @alx359
Local payment methods are not currently supported. There is some debate on whether we will support those in the future because there are already very mature and well supported plugins like our very popular Stripe plugin that has full support of most local payment methods that exist.
It can become very confusing when plugins start offering the same payment methods. The Woocommerce Admin becomes cluttered and it’s not often clear which plugin is offering which payment method.
Kind regards

Hi @mrclayton,
Thank you for the explanation. I understand, but let me share a possibly different perspective.
We have some experience with Braintree that lately has become quite more stringent with PCI compliance. The complexity and risks involved during their compliance process lead us to the decision to stop using their services. At glance, Stripe seems to lead toward the same path, which has made us hesitant to start using their services, despite their better offer overall.
We’ve been PP sellers for years. PayPal at this time claims to offer a Simplified PCI compliance out of the box. Presumably, as most of the PP plugins we have reviewed so far redirect to a PP-hosted page that does the actual CC data gathering, which is implicitly PCI compliant.
As a small seller, we aim for less risk and technical simplicity. With that in mind, wish to stick with PayPal for now despite their higher fees, so very much would like to offer more payment methods and services as they become available within their ecosystem.
@alx359 both our Braintree and Stripe plugins offer SAQ A compliant solutions. SAQ A is the gold standard so you won’t lessen your compliance burden by solely using PayPal.
Kind regards
