I am looking for an alternative to Jetpack Newsletter. I have a personal site that uses Custom Post Types (CPT) and the Jetpack Newsletter cannot send updates to my subscribers from the CPT. So my subscribers only get updates from part of my site.
What I like about JP is that I don't have to do anything. I can write a post and tick the box to send it to my subscribers and they get a nicely formatted email with my post.
I can't seem to find another tool to accomplish this. I would prefer to not login to another site like mailchimp and make a newsletter and send it. I just want my subscribers to get a simple email notice that I've added new content to the site, whether that's in posts, pages, or my CPT.
To be able to send out a CPT, I’m assuming that will require some custom dev – I’m not aware of any tool/plugin that does that. It could probably be done easily with RSS.
