Amazing plugin, but! | WordPress.org

Hi @thisbit,

Thanks for reaching out. Block Visibility does not work with synced patterns directly, because the container around synced patterns in Editor is not actually output on the front end. That said, you can apply visibility conditions to the blocks inside a synced pattern.

So, one workflow that I have found successful is to wrap everything inside of a synced pattern in a Group block (or another container block). Then apply the visibility conditions to the Group.

Let me know if that would work for you.

Thanks,
Nick

Hi Diego,

actually I never meant to control the visibility of elements in a syncked block from outside of it. I fiddled with the settings and seems that user roles settings are the thing that removed my pannel. Not from synced blocks only but its there where I noticed.

User role controls are a bit convoluted imo.

but the plugin still rocks

User role controls are a bit convoluted imo.

Yeah that control has evolved over time and has a lot of “stuff” hidden in it. There is definitely some refinement that could happen there.

Glad everything is working for you though.

Best,
Nick
