Amelia Plugin Questions: Free vs. Standard, and Updating the Plugin

I’ve been using the Amelia plugin for customers to schedule appointments on my website, and it has been working pretty well overall. Recently though, there’s been an issue where my assistant (who works virtually) and some customers are saying that Amelia is not loading for them. I’m not sure what the problem is because everything loads just fine for me, and everything seems to be running well from what I can see in WordPress.

I am using the free version of Amelia so I’m not sure if this is the issue. So, two questions:

1. What’s the difference between using the free version and paying for Standard? All the features I see for Standard look exactly the same as what I already have.

2. The free version doesn’t allow automatic updates and the Amelia website says to update the plugin you should delete/deactivate the Amelia plugin and then reinstall it. I’m nervous about doing this because I don’t want to have to reconfigure everything – I had to have someone write some code for me to make the formatting happen the way I wanted it to. Will deleting the plugin and reinstalling remove all of my data? Will I have to start from scratch?

I’m willing to upgrade to Standard but not if it’s exactly the same as what I already have.
