Another noobie question: What is the difference between my domain url and the /home url in WP?

[ad_1]

My question:

Say my url is … but then I go into the WordPress “Pages” and there’s the page. When I load the /home url it redirects to the main url.

When I check redirects in the WordPress backend, it doesn’t show anything. Are these two separate pages? Where is the root domain in “Pages” or WP?

  1. /home refers to a page.

Accessing just the domain name will load whatever the defined homepage is. You can set any page to be the homepage in Settings > Reading.

So in your case, /home has been set as the homepage. When you go the “Pages” section in the WP admin, you’ll noticed that the /home page has “Front page” written next to it.
