CRO plugins for landing pages which show:
- Heatmaps
- Click tracking
Especially ones that don't require editing the functions.php
Previously I was using Crazy Egg, but it's not free. Might go back to it nonetheless, though.
Edit: Everybody recommended Microsoft Clarity and I did not expect an answer this good. I used GTM to install it but it has a method where it manages the installation for you so you don't even need to go into GTM to do it yourself. Same with GA4. Haven't started using it but looks perfect so far.
Tried Microsoft clarity? It’s free and works by injecting into the header.
I recommend Microsoft Clarity as it has a lot of features for a free app. And you can install it via Google Tag Manager.

Hotjar is free for a little while. Not sure about how cool Microsoft Clarity is.
I use Hotjar but I should take a look at Microsoft Clarity!
I used to use Hotjar and switched to Microsoft Clarity. It’s free and very good.
