Anyone Else Having Troubles with BackupBuddy and Inodes?

[ad_1]

SiteGround started sending me notifications yesterday out of the blue that I’m out of inodes. After poking around a bit, I found that BackupBuddy (now “Solid Backups”?) takes a whopping 11,000+ inodes per installation. All my sites have been updating to the latest version over the past 24 hours, which may be why I got pushed over the edge all of a sudden.

Digging deeper, I see the worst offender is a folder in /vendor called /Microsoft, which takes 4,000+ inodes. I can’t imagine I need it! Nothing I have in BackupBuddy is connected with anything to do with Microsoft. I want to delete this folder, but I know it will come back with the next update anyway.

Tons of other stuff in there too that looks pretty useless (for my installations, anyway).

Anyone else having this issue?

I’ve used and liked BackupBuddy for about 10 years now and I have a Lifetime plan, so I don’t want to abandon them. But this excessive bloat is killing me!
