Anyone exploring headless with atlas wpengine, also what about studiopress (magazine)

[ad_1]

I’m needing help to decide what is best, should i just make a simple home, post (2page) news design theme from scratch with a good css framework like chakra/tailwinds or something, or should i just try and tweak out this studiopress theme for my temporary needs, I would rather have a badass figma styled design then coded, i alredy had this done in gatsby but too many issues from xml sitemaps not working to ACF acting strange and missing head/meta on posts or duplicated from others,, this cost me the project and now i’m trying to bring it back to life, i need a badass figma/wordpress guy to chat with please i’m available anytime.

thank you

  1. By using a template, you’re always going to be making compromises to your original vision, and / or ending up with inelegant and suboptimal code.

If you’re willing to learn, learn. It’s more fun and much cheaper in the long run not having to rely on so many SAAS solutions to build out your sites if you can do most of the coding yourself.

You probably don’t need to go headless if it’s just for a news site with no heavy user interaction but whatever works for you.

Tailwind is just a css library / naming convention and should only really be used if you have a team working on the project. It’s overkill for a site that only has a couple of page designs. You could always use their naming convention without loading in their library.
