I have a small local business and I use the free versions of both these plugins to sell event tickets. For the most part, they work great. But every now and then they fail in a major way. For my upcoming event I have 2 people whose payments failed the first time they tried to buy a ticket, and succeeded the second time. But rather than allocating them one ticket (which is what they've paid for and what they want) it's allocated them 2 tickets.
Then there is the flip version, where someone buys a ticket, the payment goes through, but they're not added to the attendee list and I don't get a notification email of the purchase.
These are about as major problems as you can get with ticketing software, but the free version offers zero support. I was considering paying for Pro (I do like the software, and my events seem to be going well) and this would give me access to pro support, but I'm wary of paying for a product that is currently occasionally unreliable.
Has anyone else had this problem with this plugin? Are there any alternatives I should try?
I have and am currently using both with no issues. If looking for an alternative looking for an event management tool for off site and link or embed on your site.
Edit: Sorry I did just remember that I actually did have an issue to start and what the issue was. Is that my descriptor that was coming on the credit card statements upon purchase was too long for the system and that’s why it would fail. Once I corrected that I was able to sell tickets no problem.
