Four days later and I’m still waiting for approval to send even a test mail shot.
I’ve tried changing to using an SMTP server which sends the test mail fine, but I still get the “something is wrong, can’t send the email” message when I try and subscribe through the website form. Subscribers are added but the two-step email isn’t sent.
It has actually taken longer to get approval for the newsletter mail facility than it did for the credit card processing and shipping plugin connection, and I’m still not there!
I’m not willing to make the front end of the site go live. It’s chicken and egg: site can’t go live without the form working, form won’t work until site goes live and someone can vet it. We shouldn’t have to jump through these hoops.
At this rate I’m going to have to uninstall and go for Mailchimp, this is too slow a process. I just want to launch the site guys….
