I’m new at e-commerce and building websites – but I taught myself how to build my site- which includes a woocommerce store and blog. I made some rookie mistakes on making categories for the store. They are too confusing for shoppers to navigate. I need to create and rename them and add subcategories that make more sense.
Rookie questions:
1- Is it as easy editing and rebuilding the current menu?
2- Is the following step to redirect products to the new categories when I’m done?
2- Do I need another plugin that might help me in the process that I may not know about ? (I use AIO SEO too)TY in advance !
It should be as easy as how you’re presenting it. You can rename the current categories or add new ones and subcategories. If there are any functions or features on your webshop that are linked to your current category ID’s or slugs, then you can experience some issues. If that’s not the case, just go for it. For redirecting your old category links, you can use the [Redirection](https://wordpress.org/plugins/redirection/) plugin.
