Working on my new site has ground to a halt. No Google search result has hinted at the reason I cannot open that right-side editing panel to work on page blocks in theme Twenty Twenty Four. I have tried logging into my site in both Firefox (my usual) and Edge. The behavior is the same in both browsers.

The second image shows the page display has enlarged to fill the screen and no tools are active. Clicking page element does NOT open the tools pane at right.
Everything worked 24 hours ago. Win 10Pro browsers up to date. WP version is at 6.5.2. Theme started as stock “2024”.
I’m no WordPress expert but I did self-maintain my WordPress classic-with-theme business site for a few years requiring CSS snippets researched, loaded, and tested; constant new content , etc. I’m trying to get up to speed on Gutenberg and the whole block toolset. It’s been a slow uptake…
But now totally stuck. Any suggestions welcome.

Can you post screenshots of what you’re referring to? (use [imgur.com](https://imgur.com)) I’m not understanding the issue you’re facing.
