Automating Adding Products from another website

[ad_1]

Sending out my shot in the dark over here. Anybody know how to automate adding products? I work for a distribution company and i’d like to not add all my product line by hand (possibly over 5000 products)

  1. wpallimport can mass import from a csv to woocommerce. or you can use something that can connect to the woocommerce api to do it. i use pabbly to create products from my integrations

  2. I used to do this for a living. I’d contact the supplier for their product data. Most manufacturers will readily oblige if you have a vendor relationship with them.

If you understand excel, this is a a matter of applying the right formulas. It can get tricky if you have to bring in product options. Review the data, and figure out how to get it into your ecommerce platform’s data import template. Use Excel to re-sort the data and load it into the columns.

Import the cleaned up data into your ecommerce platform.

  3. Seems like a custom job

You can pay a dev to make a scraping script and import script, all automated

  4. How did the 5000 products get on the other site? I assume kt has some sort of backoffice or cms. Or at least a database.. that would mean an export/import of sorts would be possible.

  5. If the target site to rip is Shopify, you can find the products all hidden in a json you can leech, there are some url parameters you can manipulate to get what you want. To save time/money you can probably find someone on upwork to do the lot quickly.
