Automating content editing in WordPress with Selenium?

Hey all,

I am working on a freelance project for a site that has tons of articles based on WordPress. I log in in WP admin and I edit the content from there (it mainly involves removing unwanted images, broken links etc)…the task are repetitive and boring tbh.

By main profession I am QA engineer and I have decent knowledge of selenium so in my free time I already started developing a script to automate some of the steps, since the editing is browser based.

However one of the other people working on the project contacted me and told me that he has a developer friend that created automation script for him and if I want to “sell” some of the articles to the “automation script”, but he didnt want to share any info what is the script, he just wanted to use it for more money, fair enough.

So I am not asking for help for someone to write me a script 😀 I just want to know if there are some wordpress tools or plugins that would make this easier than writing selenium script.
