AV software alerting me on WP-Admin

[ad_1]

Hi

I have never had this before and it is worrying…

When I login to my WP admin and go to the plugins page (and strangely only that page), my local antivirus software alerts me that it is unsafe saying:

“JAVASCRIPT-COMPILATION is infected” and blocks it as suspected phishing. It then blocks a cached chrome file. When I do a scan (on my local PC) it asks me to clean or delete that file.

I have wordfence on my site and nothing shows on that when I scan but if I delete or clean the file, it simply gives me the same error next time I return to the plugins page. I have not added any plugins recently. Other than this, nothing is unusual about my site.

What do I do please? It just seems strange.

Thank you.

Does it say anything else? Since when did you get those warnings?
