B2B SaaS Web: What’s your software stack for your website?

[ad_1]

This one’s really for website owners…

I’m not talking about MEAN vs MERN. There’s plenty of threads on that already. I mean what software, tools, services, do you use to run your site?

I’ve nearly a decade experience working on and owning websites. I’ve worked in a lot of capacities—starting from designer to SEO to Director — for various org types — corporate, agency, consulting, etc. and I mostly find a few variations of stacks / teams. But I want to know what else is out there.

Here’s what I typically see:

1. CMS (usually WordPress) + custom theme (or a page builder) + plugins + hosting provider + 1-2 front end dev, 1-2 back end dev on team

2. PWAs and/or custom (often legacy) CMS / backends with full dev/engineering teams to support the site.

Currently I’m Director of Web for a SaaS company and I’m looking to learn/see what’s out there from other professionals.

My company’s stack is currently: WordPress, + Custom Theme developed by an agency with a lot of custom functionality, custom fields + dedicated server via WPEngine (+new relic) + and a bunch of plugins as is status quo for a WordPress site lol

We’ve got 1 front end 1 backend dev, share some resources with our product / dev ops teams.

We’ve also got a lot of other tech I’d consider add-ons like chat, a/b testing, seo tools, localization tool, etc

So my question is what specific tech are you using to run B2B SaaS and/or “enterprise” scale marketing sites? What do your teams look like? What works? what doesn’t?
