Hello. First things first, I’m a copywriter — not a website developer, so please go easy on me.
I had just finished updating some copy on a client’s website and I noticed it getting slower and slower. It didn’t seem right. There was a section that popped up, said there were a few things I should update to improve the site’s performance. With the client’s blessing, I decided to go ahead with the updates.
I thought I’d be safe. Installed All In One Migration and created a backup. I hit download. Then hit the option to update PHP. Dun dun … it crashed. Server overload. HTTP Error 500.
To make matters worse, apparently the backup was created but never finished downloading. Is that backup floating around somewhere? The host is GoDaddy. I can restore to a version of the website from yesterday but then I lose all the change I’ve made today.
Help?
