Update: after emailing the it company again to ask for clarifying hosting turns out they don’t provide hosting.
Hi, I’m struggling to find the help I need on Google. I’m sure the answer is quite simple but I just can’t wrap my head around it. Normally, I design websites where WordPress is included with the hosting provider and all I have to do is login and design.
Recently, I am working on a joint project where there is an external IT company that purchased the domains and will provide hosting but I’m struggling to get them the right information to link to my account. They asked for the DNS records and I guess I sent the wrong ones?
I have the option of using either WordPress.com (wants me to buy hosting first before I can connect a domain) or using Local on my computer (only has flywheel or we engine)
Can someone please tell me how to link an unhosted WordPress site to a 3 rd party?

The external IT company has the domain and the hosting? If so, they have the DNS records.
