  1. im using rankmath, was earlier using seo fw. RM provides more customisation and more features

  2. It’s based on the user to user.. But in general, SEOPress or SEO framework probably will work for you.

  3. I’m of the opinion that the popular SEO plugins are pretty poor, especially if you’re trying to use the free version. More a platform for the company to promote their products within your WordPress dashboard than a functional tool. For me, I manage most of my SEO work outside of WordPress. So, I want an SEO plugin that helps with XML site maps, has a simple 301 redirect tool for occasional use, and helps me manage meta tags. I certainly do not want AI content creation and all these other features. That’s why I like Slim SEO. The free plugin is great, and doesn’t annoy me. For some projects, I’ll use their Slim SEO Schema, which is great for managing more complex [schema.org](http://schema.org) markup. They also have a link manager that looks promising, but I haven’t used it. That and the schema manager are paid.

  4. Not saying it’s necessarily better than the others mentioned here, but I’ve rolled out Yoast on over 500 WP websites and it’s always performed consistently well.

  5. Why do you want specifics, think it makes a difference? (Wondering if I’m missing something) I’ve used AIOSEO a bit and have been pretty happy butc I’m a noob with not much traffic anuways

  6. There’s no “best” in a general sense because it depends on what other plugins you use (and the SEO plugin will have to interface with), what features you need, and how lightweight you require it to be.

SlimSEO seem to fit your description, note that they have two separate pro plugins though, one for schema and one for managing links, and the lifetime versions are like $300 a piece so it might be a bit pricey.

  7. I must say SEO Framework if you want something simple, no ads and self advertising notices. RankMath is also good with rich features. Yoast is a trash now.

  8. I’d choose AIOSEO any day. It’s the OG SEO plugin and the most updated one. They have their internal linking assistant feature which suggests internal links, plus I like how they made adding schema so simple within posts.
