Best theme/builder for small, but future proof website.

[ad_1]

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations on the best theme or builder to use for a small construction company website I’m designing for a friend. I’ve heard mixed reviews about different options like DIVI, Bricks, and even the standard Gutenberg builder. (I have some budget).

I have a good understanding of HTML and CSS, but my main expertise is in web design. My main concerns are ease of use, flexibility, and ensuring the site is future-proof, especially as the business grows. (Maybe some small animation). Given these considerations, what would you recommend? Any personal experiences or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

  1. How much experience do you have with WordPress? Nothing is future proof in the world of WordPress, or even websites in general.

  2. If you’re using something other than vanilla html and possibly JavaScript there’s no such thing as future proof.

Gutenberg, which is part of WP is newish and constantly changing. Even WordPress itself is constantly changing.

In any kind of software development, if you can get 5-10 years out of something you’re doing better than average.

  3. Pick any of the top theme/builder combos, Astra/Spectra, Kadence, or GeneratePress/GenerateBlocks. They all are about as future proof as you could get with a WP theme-builder combo.
