Best way to accept payments and create a new user at once?

I want to create a $5/month subscription (integrated with stripe) to unlock premium features on my site. I have it set up so only [subscriber] users can see certain posts and pages using the content locker plugin.

What’s the best way to have a user pay for a subscription and register as a new [subscriber] AND only if their payment is successful will it create a user account?

WPForms looks good, $40 is fine, but I can only accept payments (I think creating new users is the $200 plan)

I know a fair amount of Zapier and Make.com for automation. I was able to connect both to my site and create new users after a new subscriber trigger from Stripe, but it involves the user having to leave my site.

Any suggestions or advice are greatly appreciated.
