Best way to build a WordPress site and share with client?

[ad_1]

I’m pretty new to WP, and I will admit that I’m finding it frustrating. I’ve been using LocalWP for the past week, and though it was felt slow, I’ve kind of enjoyed figuring out WP as I go.

However, I want to show the client the progress I’ve made, and I appear to have hit a bit of a snag – the Live Link function just doesn’t want to load anything, taking forever and ever.

Now I’ve heard about Laragon and that seems helpfully similar, but my concern is when I eventually go to pass this website onto the client, will I be able to easily? I’m used to just copying and pasting the website files, but is that even possible with WordPress? Or do I need to export the site contents separately, and reinstall plugins manually?

So yeah, my question is what is best practice for this sort of thing? Should I find a host and just develop online? Should I just push everything to Flywheel? Is there something else I’m missing?

Cheers.
