Best way to create a pricing database and quote calculator?

[ad_1]

Hey guys, so my company sells steel buildings through various manufacturers. We have pricing brochures on our website, but I'd like to create some kind of quote calculator for our customers. I'm aware this will take a very long time, and probably be slightly difficult, but in the end, I'd like to have a way to get an accurate price and take orders online.

Here is a link to an example brochure: https://thecarportco.com/ace-steel-carports-standard-pricing-brochure.pdf

As you can see, the width is priced out in increments of 2', height in 1' increments, and length in 5' increments.

Each manufacturer will have a different price, but I'll probably just start with creating a calculator for the most expensive one, that way we can price match with the others and not lose money.

I have absolutely no idea to begin with this. If I was doing this locally, on device, I would probably use Python with Pandas, but not so sure if it's going to be online. I want it to be fast and efficient.

Any advice at all is greatly appreciated. I do use Elementor, so if there is some kind of free plugin, that would be amazing.

  1. Well, your leaflet is full of tables. Each table can be a DB table. They even might exist as xls tables somewhere. Then you just have to query those tables to get a price based on user selects.

But you can’t make the economy of custom code.
