My ad network has requested I increase my content width and reduce my sidebar width to better host ads.
However, I’m not super technical with this stuff. They provided me with this:
.layout-two-column-default.content-area {width 63.88889%}
I’m assuming I need to add this somewhere but not exactly sure where.
Any pointers would be much appreciated.

That code they gave you is CSS, you can add that code in your WordPress theme by logging in to the admin, clicking Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS – paste the code and hit ‘publish’ at the top. If their class names are correct for your theme, you should see your columns change width when you visit your website.
