Best WP compatible community/forum type software?

I’m looking to build a site with reviews, information, etc mostly based around wordpress.

However, I’d also like to encourage some community and user generated content but fairly cheaply to discuss the deals and products.

In the past things like forums did the heavy lifting on this (vbulletin, phpBB, smf, etc). However they do feel a bit old school.

I’m not looking for a chat based solution like discord because I want the content to be more permanent and searchable.

What forum/community options meet this criteria:

1. Ideally could share a login with WP for commenting
2. No to low cost for licensing
3. Very easy / low friction to login and use
4. Ideally some tools that could handoff/link to live events on zoom or other tools

I integrated things like SMF and phpBB into websites a LONG time ago like early 2000s and just wanted to hear what people like today.
