Whenever I edit a blog, even if it is a minor change in visuals, and update it, the site shows the new date and not the original published date. Please help in this regard.

If you edit the post, then in the right upper corner (classic editor) you have the update/concept button. There you’ll see the present date of the post. You can alter that to the original one.
