My partner and I are in the beginning stages of creating a website for reviews/current events related to DTC companies.
We have a name and domain. That’s it. We’re looking to hire a blog designer who can make something unique, but we don’t have a brand kit right now. If someone could answer a few questions, it would be helpful to the first-timer writing this.
1. Should be prepare a brand kit as a deliverable before finding a designer? Something that includes the logo, brand colors, and additional elements
2. What kind of guard rails do you ask for? We have a list of things we want, with examples from other websites. Do we need something more?
3. Is it common for WP designers to have experience in branding as well? I know there are people who do both, but I’m wondering if it would be more effective to find someone to do both things instead of doing branding and then the website itself
