Hi Community,
I have a website that uses booking system to book appointments with doctors. My configuration is based on a service with multiple providers used as slots to book multiple appointments in different slots/ providers for the same date and time service. There are multiple doctors working with patients at the same time. Particulary there are 4 doctors/ slots so 4 people can book a service the same day. I have been using Bookly successfully for some time until some time ago it started to reckognize days which are not fully booked as fully booked. If there is even one slot booked (and three still available) it shows the whole day unavailable.
Now I have it syncing information with Google Calendar. I was investigating the issue, but with no luck. So I tried Woocommerce Bookings, Woocommerce Appointmets and both giving the exactly same results. What’s more it happens when I set it up as one way sync and two ways sync, which doesnt make any sens?
Only Amelia seems to get it right but it has a limitation I can not overcome. It forces users to first select a doctor/ slot and only then showing their calendar instead of letting a user choose a date and then assign a doctor/slot who is available for the selected date. Now from the usability point of view having to select a doctor to give a user available date options is a big no no. Right now Bookly lets a visitor to pick up a date and then shows all available options. But it wont work anymore.
Did You enctounter similiar issues and how did You resolved it? I am thinking I am missing something if 3 plugins face the same “issue”.
/EDIT: The two way sync is a requirement as the client creates new appointment in their google calendar and wants the website to know which days/slots are already taken when making a booking on the website. Plus the website has to create an appointment in Google Calendar whenever someone succesfully make a reservation using a website.
