So is this common? Or I just failed there.
For me it makes no sense when they offer 3 websites included and only 1 SSL certificate is available.
I never cared cause I just was hosting 1 website. But now I need the other domains. and saw they don’t included SSL.
So now I could upgrade my plan and pay more for additionaly SSL certificate.

Bad host. Depending what your are paying, it may be worth moving to a different host. Most single websites can be run for around hundred dollars a year, some plans are even cheaper, with SSL and mail included.
Seems like a very deceptive marketing practice.
There are several different types of SSL certs that have different levels of validation.
Are you sure they aren’t just offering one “premium” SSL cert, but also unlimited free, domain validation (Lets Encrypt) type certs? There should be no charge for basic SSL certs. It would be crazy to charge for DV certs.
Is this a host that provides hosting for the main website, a staging and a dev environment? Then this would make sense. Its very unusual (IMHO) to only supply 1 SSL certificate if this isn’t for staging and dev. Unusual unless they a an EIG company or Godaddy.
