Briefly (~1 hour) signed up for WordPress.com, discovered I can’t use plugins, reversed my purchase, signed up with a WordPress.org host, now my URL is redirecting to a non-existent WordPress.com site. How do I reverse this?

I built my site with Local, then just uploaded it to WordPress.com. I was annoyed that I wasn’t able to use plugins with the cheapest plan, so I cancelled my purchase.

I’ve deleted that WordPress.com site/blog, but the URL (which I’d bought from Namescheap) is still redirecting to that WordPress.com site.

How do I reverse this?

  2. Log in to Namecheap and change the nameservers to point to whatever your new host’s nameservers are.
