Buddyboss Issues – All uploaded media thru the front-end seem broken, what to do?

I started to work on my community platform with the help of a course that suggested to get a BuddyBoss plugin for this.

At the point of enabling media upload and testing the feature, it shows that any media uploaded is broken. However, while uploading you can clearly see their preview.

This also happens for videos where I can see the preview while uploading but when posted it says format not supported. ( Video used is mp4 format)

I tried to contact support for buddy boss but no responses yet, should I ask for a refund? It seems that this plugin has issues with uploading media.

  1. Go to BuddyBoss settings and navigate to the Media tab. Scroll all the way down to the Media Security and Performance section. Then uncheck the symbolic links option. Save and then you should see the pics. I had the same issue a few months ago.
