This could indeed be caused by a CSS change in TablePress 2.0. I’ll look into it in more detail!
In the meantime, you can fix this on your site by adding this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:
.tablepress tbody td {
vertical-align: top;
