thank you for the instructions. I couldn’t do it earlier using my Canva account.
you can see my admin menu bar is covering the actual buttons. Whereas on chrome it sits nicely under the menu bar.
It looks really strange. Do you have any plugins active? Deactivate them for a test. Possibly also switch to a standard theme.

also, it works in chrome. Just not Safari on MacBook
just testing on my iPhone and it looks fine there too. Strange.

Themes can affect the view in the Block Editor.
After doing a little more digging my firewall app discovered there were 4 files that hadn’t been deleted properly when I upgraded- editor.css files etc. I removed the old files. Cleared the safari cache and now its all working
