Hi All,

I’m just about to start to building a WordPress website for my small consultancy business and want to get the security right from the outset as one of my previous employers had their WordPress website hacked and I remember all too well the hassle and headaches this caused them (the business was essentially crippled for a couple of weeks).
​
Can anybody suggest / recommend some best practices I should be adopting in order to make sure I’m as protected as I can be?
​
In terms of plugins – I’ve seen Wordfence and iThemes recommended quite a bit. Has anybody got any comments on these or can recommend alternatives?
